Local Stewardship: Removing Invasive Plants and Planting Natives at Meadow Croft

Healing a Local Park

We will earmark your donation to aid the place you care about, where you run, or walk your dog, where you seek nature. We are project-based and transparent. We will work with local stewards and civic groups to determine what would be the most impactful action we can take to restore habitat.

Contact us at info@longlislandconservancy.org or call us at 212 380-8418. Tell us what specifically you\’d like to see this money do: What town, what issue, what project. The Long Island Conservancy is dedicated to \’action on the ground\’: We are here to get our hands dirty, and we welcome everyone\’s involvement in the whole process of \”rewilding,\” of local stewardship.

Donate Here To Restore Habitat!

There are local stewards across Long Island who have been fighting to keep their parks from being overrun with invasive plants, and fighting fiercely. The Long Island Conservancy will be there to help champion your efforts. We will help you scope out what it would take to remove the invasive plants / restore local habitat in your community, and we will put a spotlight on it so that you have broader community support for your efforts.

Local Stewardship Can Save LI\’s Parks

It won\’t work any other way. We need everyone. Homeowners, businesses, municipalities, Long Islanders, in sum. We are seeing nature vanish before our eyes, and we need to take a stand and create an ethos of local stewardship.
